EFI™ Self-Serve and Payment Systems include user stations, kiosks, card readers and management software that provide the easiest way for users to access and pay for copy and print services, and for administrators to manage devices and services whether in a self-serve or assisted-sales environment. Perfect for library, campus and retail store environments, these next-generation systems allow patrons or students to print from USB drives, mobile devices or cloud accounts along with the ability to pay with cash, credit or campus cards.
End User Interface
EFI™ Self-Serve M500 Station provides the easiest way for users to access files, print or copy and pay in a completely self-serve environment, whether accessing files from their USB drives, mobile devices or popular cloud storage accounts such as Dropbox, Box and Google Drive, right from the large 10” color touch screen with tablet-like intuitive user interface. The M505 station includes a built-in barcode scanner that brings additional convenience and services for users, such as scanning PrintMe document ID barcode displayed on mobile devices instead of manually entering the ID numbers.
Backend / Administration
The backend management software for the EFI Self-Serve and Payment Systems gives administrators central control to monitor all devices in all locations, so they can manage and configure multiple self-serve devices and copy/print service transactions from one place.
The new EFI Self-Serve AdminCentral, a cloud-based administration solution, lowers barriers for higher education and public libraries, in-plant CRDs and smaller print retailers with easier deployment plus low initial and on-going maintenance costs. AdminCentral allows customers to set up M500 stations in minutes and manage them from anywhere through a standard Web browser.
EFI Self-Serve EP Server, an on-premises administration solution that requires server software to be hosted in each location, provides robust backend features for M500 stations as well as the optional G3 Card Vending Kiosk and EP Register, and has been adopted by major office retail store franchises.
G3 Card Vending Kiosk
The optional EFI Self-Serve G3 Card Vending Kiosk works with EP Server, providing library, campus and retail office stores a completely self-serve method to accept cash for use with M500 stations. By allowing users to convert bills into cash cards usable in the M500 station, libraries can provide unassisted pay-to-print services for those without credit cards. The G3 Card Vending Kiosk provides the cards, the ability to add value to the cards, barcode scanning for discounts, and receipt printing.
EP Register with Card Reader
The optional EFI Self-Serve EP Register with Card Reader allows counter staff to make adjustment to transactions, check card balances, apply discounts, monitor connected devices and print receipts. With the available card reader, staff can also activate and add value to cash cards.
